BPCCI is a non-stock, non-profit and non-political membership organization which actively promotes and upholds the economic interests of businessmen and entrepreneurs in Batangas engaged in manufacturing, trade, commerce, industry, agriculture and services.
BPCCI aims to foster closer relations, understanding and cooperation among the different sectors of the local economy by unifying them into a strong and solid organization for the better enhancement of economic growth and development in Batangas.
Since 1978, by virtue of Letter of Instruction No. 780, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been recognized as the “sole official representative and voice of the entire private business community.” LOI 780 further states: “ in the pursuit of its lofty objective, PCCI deserves the encouragement, assistance and support of the Government.”
BPCCI is the local Chamber affiliated with PCCI.

ENVIRONMENT MONTH - The month of June has been declared as Environment Month
The World Environment Day slogan for 2008 is Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy. The celebration highlights resources and initiatives that promote low carbon economies and life-styles, such as improved energy efficiency, alternative energy resources, forest conservation, and eco-friendly consumption. In the Philippines, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has adopted the slogan
Recognizing that climate change is becoming the defining issue in this era, PCCI encourages its member companies and organizations to organize their own events or support environment day activities. Activities could include the following:
- tree planting in urban centers, mountains, mangroves, river banks, parks, etc.
- recycling events to recover and reuse waste materials and/or prevent wastes
- events that promote less use of fossil fuel such as carpooling, Takbo o Lakad para sa Kalikasan, Bike for Clean Air or promote the use of alternative cleaner fuels (i.e. biodiesel, auto LPG, ethanol, CNG)
- Energy Efficiency initiatives
- clean ups of beaches and seas (including scubasurero by divers)
- clean up of creeks, rivers, lake, streets, parks, etc.
- discussions/ seminars/workshops on various environmental topics
- Free emission testing
- art contest, poster-making, song writing, essay writing - contest and the like
- environmental concerts, etc.
PCCI also encourages its member companies to share their success stories or available toolkits that will mitigate climate change to other stakeholders. |

PCCI regularly receives trade, business and research inquiries from all over the world. Most of these inquiries come from companies which are either looking for suppliers and buyers or business tie-ups. Through the PCCI’s system of trade opportunities referral, these foreign business inquiries are matched with local counterparts from PCCI’s database for possible trade partnership. BPCCI may also avail of this service when looking for buyers and suppliers, both local and foreign.
